Leather & Suede Care Guide
Leather and suede are natural materials that will age beautifully when cared for correctly. Due to their delicate nature, they require gentle handling and regular maintenance to preserve their appearance and longevity.
General Care Advice
Always check the care label before cleaning or treating your item.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat, or moisture, as this can cause fading, drying, or staining.
Store leather and suede items in a cool, dry place, away from plastic covers, which can trap moisture.
Allow items to breathe by using a fabric garment bag when storing.
Leather Care
Clean leather gently using a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dirt.
For light marks, wipe carefully with a slightly damp cloth, then allow to air dry naturally.
Use a specialist leather conditioner occasionally to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
Avoid over-conditioning, as this can darken or soften the leather excessively.
Never machine wash or tumble dry leather items.
Please note:
Leather is a natural material and may show natural variations, creasing, or softening over time. This is part of its character and not considered a fault.
Suede Care
Suede is particularly delicate and should be protected from rain and water wherever possible.
Use a suede brush to gently lift the nap and remove light marks once dry.
For small stains, a suede eraser can be used with care.
Do not apply water or standard cleaning products, as these can leave marks.
We recommend using a specialist suede protector spray before wearing, following the product instructions carefully.
Please note:
Suede can mark easily and may darken with wear. These changes are natural characteristics of the material.
